Southeast Asian Textiles Study Day

SOUTHEAST ASIAN TEXTILES STUDY DAY 

With Textiles Historian Jasleen Kandhari & Sue Stanton, Textiles conservator, Ashmolean Museum

Learn about the rich tradition of South East Asian textile arts. Explore regional variations, techniques of production and designs from batik to songket. The study day includes lectures and an object study session in the Eastern Art print room with Jasleen as well as an Asian textiles conservation session with Sue. Handling session of Southeast Asian textiles from the Lecturer's private collection is included.
